Concert: The Postal Service!

This week Shaun and I were able to see one of our all-time-favorite-bands-ever play for the first time in nearly 10 years…

The Postal Service!

Ben Gibbard (frontman of Deathcab for Cutie) and Jimmy Tamborello (Dntel) created an pop-indie-electronic baby and one epic album together back in 2003.  This is one of the only albums I can still listen to today and still happily sing and dance along to.

We bought our tickets off Stubhub, which worked out super well, because the show had sold out before we even knew about it! We took off after work on Wednesday 4/10/13 and headed north to Davis. The concert was held at the Mondavi Center for Performing Arts, which is a really nice venue. Our seats were in the Orchestra Left and were excellent!!

In addition to Ben and Jimmy, they had Jenny Lewis (Rilo Kiley) and Laura Burhenn (The Mynabirds) singing and playing.

Super fun night listening to super good music with one of the nicest crowds ever!  Even though my voice was gone the next day. :D
